I keep getting an update error when trying to update my Fitbit Surge. I cannot get past the setup screen in the watch. Below is the error I get when I try to update the tracker
“The operation couldn’t be completed. (FBBluetoothErrorDomain error 8.)

Having the same issue, same error message. Unable to update my new Surge through the Fitbit App or through Fitbit Connect. Any advice?

I did see on another thread that the Surge has to be set up in a computer before it can be set up on any mobile device (that would have been helpful to know). I removed the Surge from all devices and removed from Bluetooth before I updated.

I’m having the same trouble, and won’t update. I tried the support team but since it was purchased via eBay they cannot help me... anyone have any ideas for me to try while we contact the eBay supplier?
It recognises the surge, on pc and on phone, just will not update. Error code 8 comes on the phone, unknown error comes up on the pc (while phones Bluetooth is off)
