Versa 2 got disconnected from the Fitbit app

Hi - I have an Iphone 11 Pro and a Versa 2. This morning when I went to check my stats from the previous 24hours I realized my device was no longer connected in my profile. My steps were still up, I got messages on my watch, the buzzing when I met my walking goal, but that information did not transfer to my Iphone. That wouldn't be too bad right, the info is in the watch... Wrong... the heartrate monitor wasn't. Nope. So even if I registered heartrate monitor all day, that I checked it while working out, it did not pair into my phone. My night sleep either. Not there. Since yesterday morning no heartbeat.

I had to uninstall fitbitt, forget my device (because yes, it was still showing in my bluetooth option but as not connected) and re install everything. Now it's working, but this make me doubt the reliabitlity of the Versa 2. Should I worry that my heartrate monitor will just stop recording? Is it adequate for what I need. I might have made the wrong choice and should have gone for a garmin or a polar watch. Right now, big trust issues.

Why did I disconnect and stoped recording the heartrate while the step kept counting? Why would I show the heartrate on my watch but not in the app. I mean what's the use if I can't compare nor track it?

Hi @MarilynM81. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for sharing detailed information about your Versa 2 behavior, as well for the troubleshooting steps tried. I understand how important it's to track your heart rate data and sync it to the Fitbit app, and I'm sorry that this happened to you. It's odd that your watch got removed from your Fitbit account. To work on this together, may I know if you received an error message on the Fitbit app? Were your Versa 2 and the Fitbit app updated before having this issue?

Because your watch is now connected to your account, please try restarting it to refresh its performance and keep an eye on its behavior.

If anything happens, don't hesitate to let me know.

Oh no you got that wrong. The watch didn't get removed from my account. That's not what I said. I said the data did not get transfered to my fitbit account. My watch showed my hearbeat, but in the app, there is nothing. The watch was still in my profile but would not 1-connect to bluetooth 2-once it finally got connected no data from the past 24 hours or so were not transfered. As if I had not wear the watch. I've had it 10 weeks, shouldn't it still work properly without me having the double check?

"did you receive an error message on the fitbit app" No

Were your versa 2 and the fitbit app updated before having the issue: No

"please try restarting it to refresh its performance" Heu, already did that. More then once. When I saw there was a problem. After I saw there was a problem. After I had de-installed and re-installed everything. Twice. Because once wouldn't do it.

"keep an eye on its behavior" that's great advice, instead of having something that should work and that i don't have to worry about I get to track if the tracking works

I'm wearing my fitbit while I sleep. Even since reinstalling it, my night time data don't show. The sleeping heart rate doesn't show. I see the avg bpm, the % of above and below, but there is no grid.

The problem isn't what's happening, it's what's not happening.

The fact that even if the fitbit was showing in my profile, with data on my watch, but not transfering is frustrating enough.

Performance and relatibity should be priorities.
