Weight Starting Date not saving

I accidentally changed my weight starting date, and now I can’t get it to go back to the correct date, it just doesn’t save. It keeps going back to the incorrect date.

Hi there @meghanamanda. Good to see you around! 🙂

I would like to help you getting your weight starting date right again.

If this change doesn't save on the Fitbit app after you edit it, try logging out of the app, log back in and see if you can then make the change and it stays there.

If that doesn't work, you can go on your computer to fitbit.com and then log in to your account. Click on Log at the top of the dashboard, then in the Food tab, go down to the Food Plan section and navigate to the last of the three screens for the Plan Summary. Here click on Edit Plan. Right underneath where it says Edit Weight Goal, you will see your starting weight and you will have the option to edit it from there. Save the changes, Force quit the Fitbit app and open it again and you should see the change reflected.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help!

I’ve definitely already tried all of that, but it doesn’t seem to work. It just reverts to December 1st 2017. The app has just been awful, slow and laggy lately too. It’s the current version as well.

Thanks for getting back @meghanamanda!

You're right. I just tried changing the starting weight on a food plan that I have for myself and it doesn't seem to take the change. I was searching more carefully and it seems this is a known problem. I would then recommend going to the Account section, then go to Body and Nutrition and here go to the weight section. Where it says Your goal, tap on it and set your weight goal again and once you've done this, go down to the Start Date, choose the correct date and then just go back. The starting weight should be automatically updated and when you go back to Body and Nutrition, the new starting date should be reflected.

Let me know how it goes!

I’ve also tried that, and even once I put the new date, it goes back to the 1st of Dec.

That's strange... I tried that on my app and it did work 😕

Thanks for trying though @meghanamanda. As I mentioned, this is a known problem and our team is aware of this. I would hope for them to get this resolved soon, however, I have no updates on when this will be fixed or the status on it.

Thanks a lot in advance for your patience with this. If there's anything else I can do for you, let me know!

Has the ability to edit the start date of goals been fixed. I have tried everything and cannot change the date on my iOS, not can find any place on the web version to edit the date.
