Weight logged changed by decimals.

Hello,

I recently started using FitBit to log my weight into the app on my iPhone.   The app seems to be changing the weights that I enter daily.  For example, if I enter 173.2 and check it the next day it could be at 173.1.  Or, if I enter 172.6 it could change it to 172.8.  Why is it doing this?  I know these are small amounts, but I fear that it could change by a larger amount.  I have tried to set them back to what they should be, and they still change to a different number within a day or two.

Furthermore, I'm using the Noom weight loss app which syncs with the Fitbit app.  Fitbit is sending the incorrect weights to Noom as well.  I'm just trying to track my weight loss accurately!!  Would love some support/feedback! Thank you!!

I'm using android and I have the same issue as well, in October 2021!!!! This is why I'd never pay the outrageous prices they have set for Fitbit premium. Something as simple as logging weight correctly for a fitness app should be EASY 😞 Fitbit never fixes longstanding issues and I swear their replies are like less helpful and less committal than bots!

Jan 2019, you guys said you were looking for a solution and April 2020, it is still occurring. that is ridiculous. What is the update status on this?

It's now March 2021 and still happening so not sure why things take years to fix!

Just checking on why this is still an issue, it was first reported over two years ago and is still an issue.

I'm here in June 2021, looking for info on this issue. It's disappointing to see it's been going on for so long. I started Noom about 3 weeks ago and it's great to use my Fitbit to monitor my steps and I like setting mini weight loss goals for myself in Fitbit, where Noom is for my overall weightloss goal - but the Fitbit changing my daily weight log is super frustrating!! I just upgraded my Fitbit to a Sense and I have the premium access, for what I'm paying for this service I should be able to rely on accurate numbers.

Apparently they don't think that a .01 decimal change is important enough to fix. It must be pure rocket science to change a formula by .01.

Ridiculous.

I just disconnected mine from automatic sync for that same reason!! And the funniest part is that when it looks like a weight is right, it changes it later to that tenth of a difference which may not seem like much, but actually it is!!

Is this issue ever going to get resolved? It’s March 2022.

Still an issue for me too. Seems like it should be an easy fix. Instead of always promoting new paid-for features maybe they should focus on basic problems like this, then more people might trust them enough to buy the upgrade 😬

I'm using Noom as well and have my scale set with Withings. As soon as I started using Fitbit to track my steps, Fitbit overroad my weight. Not sure why Fitbit is being seen as the dominant application when it clearly isn't. Withings and Fitbit don't connect so I am forced to use Health Connect, yet when connecting Fitbit to HC, there are no permissions to make as Read Only for weight logging. Everything is write permissions even though weight logging isn't listed as an option. Somehow it's still overriding Withings. Ridiculous!
