The weight tile very helpfully says X.Xlb lost sinc (Month) (Day)

And kinda totally forgets to mention the year.

Did it never occure to y'all that you might have a customer flailing away at this for over a year? 😉 😛

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Meregrotta, hope you're doing great! I'd recommend clearing cookies and cache to see if this does the trick.

Let me know how it goes!

I did put this comment under the iOS app not the web page did I not?

Anyway my comment was about the app, clearing my browser cookies will do nothing except make my banking more annoying.

You can also clear cookies and cache from your iOS app. However, try doing the following:

  • Log out of your Fitbit App
  • Force quit the App
  • Turn off the Bluetooth
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
  • Turn on the Bluetooth
  • Log back into your Fitbit App

Let me know how it goes @Meregrotta

The problem isn't that it's displaying the wrong year, it's not displaying a year at all on the iOS app's weight tile.

Mine right now says '22 pounds lost since Aug 11'. I assure you, I have not lost 22 pounds in the last two weeks. The last 54 weeks, yes.

This tile should definitely display the year if the first weight entry is greater than a year ago. Basic math here, people.

Yup, I admit I did not immediately follow the suggestion as I didn't see how it could help.  But my phone has since been rebooted for other reasons including a full bluetooth dead chicken dance.  I even had to sign back into the fitbit app!

Lo and Behold!  The year is still missing.  There is in fact no space for the year at all.

Smells lilke a design flaw to me.  One that falls under "small and silly"..... but it should also be relatively easy to fix.  You can add the year.  You can even go back to matching the web site and simply saying how much weight I have left to lose before I reach my goal.  I'm not really fussy.  But keeping it without the year makes it disingenous at best.

@Meregrotta and @mattyj2001 - if you tap the weight tile, you will get better information. It starts with This Week then moves back in time. When it gets to the previous year, it lists the year. It's not a perfect solution but it does offer the information you are looking for.

Edited to to add the following: you can go HERE to add a feature update/request. This is the best way to have your voice heard by the right people.

That isn't a solution as it doesn't fix the problem that the tile itself is effectively lieing.

It's also sad that one might have to dress up a Bug Report as a Feature Request.

I agree. You can glean the info you want from the master list of weights, but that would require me scrolling through 380+ days worth of weight, noting the first one, and subtracting it from my current weight.

This does, however, prove that the year is tracked/saved, it just needs to be displayed on the tile so the date isn't so ambiguous.
