Whats the benefit of updating the app?

@LizzyFitbit and @KateFitbit is this version of the app finally stable and have all the bugs been fixed?  I'm asking because there is no clarification as to what has actually been addressed in this update.

For example:

1. Does it fix the issue users have been having when trying to log exercises?

2. Does it stop fitbit devices from constantly vibrating during a phone call?

3. Does it fix the random calendar notifications?

4. Does it fix the excessive prompts to turn on location services?

5. Does it fix the issue users are having syncing their devices?

These are just a few of the bugs that have been lingering around for a while. I realize that version 3.xx of the fitbit app has been rather unstable and plagued with bugs. Information regarding app updates can be found here https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2025/  and a more comprehensive history here https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fitbit/id462638897.

If version 3.18 of the app does't address any of these concerns for the community is there a possibility of rolling the app back to version 2.xx?  Version 2 of the app was a lot more stable and i don't believe any of these issues were present in version 2.

@KateFitbit and @LizzyFitbit it appears that it's my role as a community member to ask my toughest questions (https://community.fitbit.com/t5/help/faqpage/title/communityrole ) and i believe this is question suited for a fitbit representative, but i'm open to any and all answers.

What's the benefit in updating the fitbit app?

I've been a long time fitbit user and found version 2.xx to be the best version of the app.  It was visually appealing, seemed stable, and there was relatively no bugs. At least nothing that was crippling device/app functionality. Fitbit is now on version 3.18 and there has been nothing, but bugs and stability issues. Some that have existed for 6 months or more and still not fixed!

Some examples:

1. Random Calendar Notifications https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Calendar-notifications-keep-repeating-at-random-intervals-th...

2. Location Prompts. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Turn-off-Enable-location-services-prompt/m-p/3316335#M101809

3. Notification issues. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Required-settings-changed-for-notifications-on-iOS-13/m-p/40...

4. Constant vibration. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Fitbit-vibrates-even-after-answering-call/m-p/3950351

5. Numerous threads on bluetooth/syncing issues

6. General dislike of the new dashboard. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Bring-Back-the-Old-Dashboard/idi-p/3707094

7. Issues tracking exercises. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Exercises-recorded-in-a-different-time-and-not-showing-data/...

8. Premium plastered all over the app. In sleep section, discover button, account settings, bottom of dashboard, and random insights.

To my knowledge none of these issues were present in the last release of version 2.xx. Was it 2.95? These issues all appear to affect core functionality of using a fitbit device and all came with version 3.xx of the app!

Follow up question is: Is it really a good idea to update the app? For me I wish i stayed on version 2 of the app that way i could continue to use my fitbit as the manufacturer intended. I stopped updating my app at version 3.12.1 and don't have half the problems that other community members are reporting.

So, is there a benefit to me updating the app to version 3.18 or is it a safer for me to stay where i am?
