I have an original Versa that does exactly what I want it to. I don't need any extra bells and whistles. I don't jog, run, or visit a gym. I walk. I eat. I sleep. I like basic tracking like sleep, heart rate info, and steps.
My question to the forum is: when is Google taking over? Will I lose all of the functions I use on my watch? Why did Fitbit sell to Google?
Thanks

@ravenfrank Google bought Fitbit in 2021. It's a done deal. The Fitbit app isn't going away. Pixel Watch users use the Fitbit app for activity and health tracking, so I think this is why Google bought Fitbit. Fitbit released the original Versa in 2018. It probably won't receive any future software updates, unless there is a security update. Unless there is a big surprise, you should be able to keep doing what you are doing. Please keep in mind that rechargeable batteries have a lifespan. Your battery is a bit old and it might give up,
