Why I don't see friend's steps in challenge?

Please help!  I cannot see my friend's daily steps, and she can't see mine.  We can only see each other's 7 day average.  If we do a challenge, we have no idea who is ahead, etc.  Is that the way it is supposed to be?  Or not?  This is like having a pedometer...we just call each other at night to figure it out.  Not fun.  Or worth money.  I tried calling customer support and within 3 minutes, the same person said it is a system glich being fixed, it is not designed to see each other's steps and my fitbit is broken.  I got another fitbit and the same thing....So...how do challenges work?  Does anyone know?

Thanks.

Once you invite your friend to a challenge using the challenge tab at the bottom of the screen in your phone app, and your friend joins the challenge using her phone app, you will be able to see each other's steps in that challenge.

Outside of challenges, you can see the rolling 7 day step average of each of your friends on the phone, and, if they have made their step viewble by you, on the desktop you can see their steps for the day.

I also had this issue using my iPhone and finally figured it out!  To see others' stepscounts during a challenge:

  • On the iPhone app, go to "Challenges"
  • You'll see the blue-green bar on the top with the name of the challenge (e.g., Workweek Hustle) and the time left in the challenge.
  • Swipe down on the heading bar and it will pull down the list of everyone in the challenge and their step counts.

Hope this helps!

Hey,

I did what you said, but it only shows the percentage of the goal, not the actual steps. It's difficult to keep diving the percentage to know the exact step count. How do I find out the steps ? Help please. Thank you.

My husband and I are in the Workweek Hustle Challenge but we both can only see my steps. When we both pull the drop-down it only shows me. Where are his steps? Is there some setting he needs to change? Ugh. So frustrating!

Is this still true?

In our weekly challenges only my steps show in the blue bar on top now. It used to show everyone and I could see where I was in the challenge. Does anyone know how to fix this?
