Charge 3 with latest iOS app.

 

Using this combo is an exercise in itself.

Sync is painful

Getting GPS to work with 'location while using app' is shockingly bad

 

This has been out for years and still horrible to use. Can anyone recommend alternative apps?

Having location on permanently is unacceptable - this should also work with access to location While Using App!

It sometimes works with While Using App but it's flaky and not worth the hassle - so perhaps some effort to fix this.
