Why there is no "Workout" in the activities list?

Whats the reasoning behind having the option to add a "Workout" session from the device but not from the app? If I forget to start the activity when I'm doing it, I have no option to add it later because it's not on the app list! Why?

@kinvon  the idea of posting on the forums is to help someone and not to solicit votes or post randomly. When people have an issue, they actually post and would like a real answer.
