All of sudden the time on my Fitbit was 30 minutes lapse, so I followed the procedure to correct it, to no avail. I deleted the app and reload the app. I set the Fitbit to the factory setting. Again following procedure to pair, and the app shows it found the tracker, but proceeded no more from there.
My Fitbit charge 3 is not one year old and already had several problems, but I could restore or correct those issues, Not this time! Very disappointed at the quality.
PS, my IOS is 12.4.3 so it is not IOS problem.

Hello and welcome @JW50
I understand you’re experiencing syncing issues. There was a major issue yesterday that effected everyone but was resolved last night. Syncing was was of them. I’m wondering If your issue was being experienced during this timeframe. Can you please clarify with me if your still experiencing issues or has the issue resolved itself?
😃 Please let me know

No, my pairing problem took place before that time. Today I try again to pair the Fitbit with my iPhone, still no luck. The same thing happens, my App indicates it found the tracker, and proceeds no more. Stuck there!
I delete the App, reload again the App, still not working!
I do not know why the App found the tracker, but can not proceed the connecting.

Thanks for the reply. However, my Fitbit charge 3 is still useless. I reboot the device, restart it, and even put the device into the factory setting.
I turn on and off the phone Bluetooth, I turn on and off my phone, etc. Several times!
All the procedure are done, and still the Fitbit can not sync with the phone. Always the same condition, the phone App found my tracker, and stuck there, can not proceed the connecting.
Now, the screen of the device is not responsive even tap it.
Very disappointed.
My son just got rid of his Fitbit charge 2 and gets himself an Apple Watch. I think I will do the same.
fitbit is lousy! Not even ten months usage!

Hello again @JW50
I’m sorry to see your still having issues. It might be helpful to just uninstall the Fitbit App and reinstall again. You won’t lose any data doing this. Here’s how:.
uninstall the Fitbit App
turn off your Bluetooth
turn off your iOS device completely, wait 1-2 mins then restart the iOS device
run to the App Store and download the Fitbit App
turn on your Bluetooth
Now log into the Fitbit App as you normally would with your email address and password
now try to sync your Charge 3
😃 I’m hopefully this works for you. If not I would suggest calling Fitbit Customer Service. You can contact here: https://help.fitbit.com/?l=en_US&cu=1&fs=ContactUs&co=GB

Thank you for your several responses.
Unfortunately I tried all of your suggestions, uninstalled the App, turn off the Bluetooth, turn off my phone, then turn on again, install the App,etc
the same thing happens, the App found the tracker, but can not connect to Tracker. The screen on my phone just sticks there, no proceeding.
I think the defect is in Fitbit device.
Thanks again, though.
