Workweek hustle syncing issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
Hi there,

I can't seem to sync my steps this week on the Workweek hustle. Battery is fine and syncs my steps daily. However every time I attempt to sync on the work week hustle challenge, it's showing that it's updated steps when it actually hasn't.

Thanks in advance
Marie

@mariedette Welcome to the Fitbit Community! That is strange! Make sure you are not manually logging those steps as those do not count towards challenges. Also, make sure you have started the challenge on Monday!

Hi @SantiFirbit,

Thanks for the suggestion. Still no luck. I haven't attempted to add extra steps in for the challenge 😝 battery level medium and have decided to top it up just in case. It is showing up as sync, but it doesn't my update at the challenge. I tried puttin it to sleep and switching on again. No updates are due on the App Store either.

Will see if it does decide to update later.

Thanks,
Marie

@mariedette I hope you're doing well! Are you still experiencing the same problem with steps updating to your challenges? If possible; provide me with a screenshot of the challenge screen.

Keep me posted so I can investigate further.

Why does manually entered steps not count??? i forgot my fitbit but also ran using a mapper so knew id done 4.04mile run entered it manually when i got home synced my found fitbit...am on 23,360 steps on my dashboard but now on workweek hustle im on 15,546 and being over taken,,,am sure it used to work fine when ive manually logged before!

i know its not your fault but this is annoying..im being overtaken by others who've done less than me. Running with my fitbit on doesn't count steps properly!

I have been having the same issue with the workweek hustle not recording steps correctly. This has only happened the last 2 weeks and my steps seem to be recording correctly for the first 2 challenges I'm in but not for the 3rd or 4th. (I've never had more than 4 workweek hustles). Here are the descripencies I wrote down today for the first 2 challenges (A) and then the 3rd challenge (B):

(A) 1093, 2576, 4620

(B)   227,   494,   869

So the 3rd on is adding more steps, but not at all accurately. Last week I finished at 45,375 in two challenges and 38,013 in two challenges.

Hi @Dixieo and welcome to the Community!

What's important to note is that Challenges begin and end in the Challenge creator's timezone. If you are in a different timezone than the creator, you may see a difference in steps on your Challenge leaderboard and dashboard.

You can find out more information about Challenges and how they work by clicking here.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the reply. I understand time zones and you are correct, one challenge started at 2am today and the others started at midnight this morning. That does not explain why at 10am there was 866 steps different between the 2 challenges, and that by 5pm there was a discrepency of 3751 steps between the challenges. I cannot go back in time and walk over 3000 steps in the 2 hours between midnight and 2am.

Right now it is 10:30pm on Monday - the first day of the workweek hustle challenges. There is now 7601 steps difference! Two challenges report 10,921 steps - which is equal with my dashboard. The other challenge reports 3320 steps for the day.

Clearly this is not due to a time zone difference and the discrepency continues to increase. What is your next suggestion?

It's now Friday morning of the workweek hustles. My first 2 workweek hustle challenges report 41,975 steps. The third workweek hustle challenge reports 31,072 steps.

What is the resolution to this?

Having the same problem🤔

I’m also having this problem. My steps are not being updated in the challenges.

*my battery is full

*i have restarted my watch

*I synced the Fitbit with my computer

*I have not manually entered any steps

*My watch and app are up to date.

*I’m in the same time zone as the creators of the challenges.

*I accepted the challenges on Sunday, before they began.

Currently it is off about 20k steps... Please advise.

Has there been no resolve for this issue? I’m now experiencing it. My dashboard shows 10,455 for the day, just synced, but both of my challenges say they haven’t been updated in 19 hours.

Ugh. Had the same issue last week and again this week. Did everything the users above suggested and it’s still the same. So frustrating that there’s still no fix for this. Help?

I am having the issue today with my Charge 5. I’m using Apple, and I’m missing 12,000+ steps. I logged out and back in, and I charged my Fitbit. I’m at a loss
