my clock face changed on its own after an update, after discovering this I attempted to change the face back, but could not.   I choose another but could not read it in the daylight so I attempted again to reinstall the original face which I was able to do.   Unfortunately I STILL can not read the clock face outside AND the watch does not turn on automatically anymore.   And, yes the battery is fully charged.   Very frustrating.

You didn't say which device you have but if you are frustratingly swiping the clock face trying to get it to turn on, Its possible to show the Quick Change menu on the down swipe and then accidentally change the setting from Auto to Manual.  At least on my Ionic, its easy to do.  I think you should check the auto/manual setting to restore automatically coming on.  I don't have a response for daylight reading except to check the settings to make sure the auto brightness is selected.  good luck.

Txs for ur response. It is the original versa
I ended up calling support and a VERY nice and PATIENT gentleman helped
me. We had to reinstall 5 times and go back to original factory settings.
The watch originally would not allow me to access the brightness setting.
It total it took 45 mins give or take.
I thank u for your response though. Reading all the problems you have to
wonder if any beta testing is ever done.
