Did you mean:

confused about app interaction

I have a new Alta. I went for a run on Saturday morning, expecting the Alta to pick up the steps (which it did, I think). I also tracked the run on MapMyRun. The run showed up on my app as Running (MyFitnessPal). Does this mean that MMR feeds to MFP and then MFP feeds to the app? I may have set it up like this some time ago, but I haven't used MFP in many many months (and I don't have the app on my phone). Any advice would be appreciated, also any best practices for using MMR with Fitbit. I do like the map and other features of MMR. Thanks in advance!

Hi @andrea_nyc,

To be honest I'm not entirely sure if MapMyRun and MFP have an integration, but I wouldn't be surprised since they are in the same App ecosystem.

MFP and Fitbit definitely have an integration and MFP data can sync into Fitbit. You can double check if workouts from MFP are syncing over to your Fitbit account by logging into Fitbit.com and checking your activity log.

Lastly, you can manage what Apps interact with your Fitbit account by logging into your account and adjusting your Fitbit.com settings.

Hope this helps!
