fitbit app iphone7 reporting no bluetooth

Old iphone6 and a new iPhone7, both at ios11. Fitbit app works fine on the 6, but is constantly saying the bluetooth is off on the 7 (when it clearly is not as I have other Bluetooth devices that are working fine).

The fitbit tracker is a Fitbit One, so I've been sync'ing it on the old 6 for the moment (fine), but thought I'd try removing and re-installing the app on the 7 and rebooting the tracker, and removing it from my account using the 6 so setting it up as a new device on the 7...

The re-installed Fitbit app on the 7 still fails to work and when trying to re-add the fitbit tracker as a new device fails to get past the intro screens. Repeating the same procedure on the 6 works just fine.

At a loss to understand what the problem is with the Fitbit app on the 7 and why it just won't engage with the bluetooth interface.

uninstalled the fitbit app, delete the tracker, turn bluetooth on and off a few times, hard reboot the iphone7, re-install the fitbit app, re-add the tracker on the iphone6, re-login on the iphone7 - covers just about all possibilities - and it worked 🙂
