having trouble syncing my luxe

Hi - I've always had some trouble syncing my luxe to my iPhone 13, but with the new app it's even more of an issue. I'm not able to sync this morning so I can't see my sleep scores or anything.

Anyone else having this issue? I don't understand why this is happening & why I even need to manually sync at all - the data should just be there. My husband has an apple watch and never needs to manually sync it.

Update — I solved the problem! I synced my Fitbit account with my Google one — so now I log into Fitbit using Google. Once I did that, no need to manually sync and everything is going well!

I do not want to connect it with Google. Is there a way to make it work without it? I have tried all of the steps with interesting results. Before running through all of them I had 8570 steps on my watch and 90 on my app. After playing around for about 30 minutes to try to get it to synch (because it would always go about 3/4 and then crash) I have now 5016 steps on my app and still 8570 on my watch ???????????????

Also, I like using it to connect to other apps and that does not work if the app does not synch 😞

My suggestion is to create a new Google account for your fitbit that you can sync to - ie., abccba1.fitbit or some thing like that. sadly, the reality now is that Fitbit and Google are the same company, so Google likely has all of your data whether you formally sync or not.

I have to say that since I synced my Fitbit account to Google, my Fitbit is syncing to my phone amazingly & better than it ever had before. I no longer need to manually sync - it works as well as my husband’s Apple Watch to just show data. Honestly I was close to switching to Apple Watch because of this sync issue but now I’m very happy.

Also for me — connecting to other apps - ie., strava — is working much better since I synced my Fitbit and Google accounts. Basically now I use my Google account to log into anything Fitbit, including these community forums.

Maybe I'm just a bit of a rebell but I do not like to be forced to do something just because they make it so unusbale that I have to do it...
