iOS 10

Hello! I was wondering when we'd start seeing fixes for iOS 10. Historically, the final version of will be released here in September, and I have yet to see any bug fixes in the fitbit app. Coming from software, I know the adoption rate of iOS 10 will be rapid, and will leave a lot of very disappointed customers, because a lot of buttons are missing and / or hidden behind horrible UI bugs, which would drive customers away.

I saw multiple posts regarding such bugs, but no recent updates since July, which essentially stated that that you guys won't test on the beta, which is silly in my opinion. It would be nice to hear if there is an actual effort in building a quality app for the upcoming iOS updates.

Hello, I just downloaded the updated version of the FitBit app on my Iphone 5C.  Every time I try to open the app, it crashes.  I tried restarting my FitBit, closing the app and re-opening, turning my bluetooth on/off and even restarting my phone but nothing is working.

@dcruzs welcome to the forums! Please make sure you do have the latest version downloaded, cause it definitely works better than the previous version and it's not supposed to be crashing. Do the following to see what version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device:

  1. Tap the Account tab.
  2. Tap Help. You'll see the app version at the top of the screen. Unlike the image the image below, you app should say 568 which is the latest version.
    User-added image

To update the Fitbit app to a newer version:

  1. On your iOS device, tap App Store.
  2. Tap the Updates tab.
  3. If a Fitbit update is available, you'll see Fitbit in the list of pending updates.
  4. Tap Update.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Cat Very Happy

Since I have changed to the new dashboard, the past summary dashboards  except for steps, have the same data as the current day. It is interesting that the graphs show the data correctly, but as I said it's not reflected correctly in the dashboard.

@mpangers  That is the expected behavior on the new app layout.  Only the top tile scrolls back in history.  As you mentioned, to see the lower tiles history, you have to click each one.

@Kmransom123 you are correct! Thanks a million for your input. Cat Very Happy @mpangers welcome to the forums! Just like @Kmransom123 mentioned, the tiles below the daily stats tile show your most recent information, even if you're looking at your stats for another day. To view your stats for a previous day, tap the individual tiles to see your history.

I have noticed a few oddities since the last update.

  • My fitbit has decided to randomly not log my active minutes; nothing for this past Friday, only a half hour for Saturday, and nothing so far today.
  • It didn't log any sleep for last Tuesday night.
  • It can't seem to correctly add up my consumed calories for yesterday. If I go back and add in more calories, it corrects itself, but then if I delete those new calories, it goes back to an incorrect count.
  • Also, what happened with the sleep graph? You used to be able to see exact times for when you were awake or restless.

@beardojones Thanks for joining us! Please restart your tracker and then I suggest logging out, force quitting the app and then logging back in. Make sure that your app and iOS have been updated the their latest version. Actually, you can still check the restless ans awake times. When your tracker indicates that you are moving so much that restful sleep would not be possible, your sleep graph will indicate that you were awake.

What you are describing about the calories, makes me think that possibly there's a confusion. Check out this post by @DerrickS explaining how to input your calories for yesterday.

I'll be looking forward to your new comments!
