All mine does is crash. I updated to iOS10 yesterday. So far, nobody has given me any answers on how to fix it.

Please make sure you do have the latest version downloaded, cause it definitely works better than the previous version and it's not supposed to be crashing. Do the following to see what version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device:

Tap the Account tab.
Tap Help. You'll see the app version at the top of the screen. Unlike the image the image below, you app should say 568 which is the latest version.
User-added image
To update the Fitbit app to a newer version:

On your iOS device, tap App Store.
Tap the Updates tab.
If a Fitbit update is available, you'll see Fitbit in the list of pending updates.
Tap Update.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Cat Very Happy

Hi! Thank you for trying to come to my rescue! It's greatly appreciated.

I did a Fitbit update two weeks ago, so my number says "572" and there is no indicator that there's another update (that I can see on my phone app).

The first thing I did when the app started crashing was look at my iPhone app updates. Nothing from Fitbit, and still nothing.

I accessed my account from my laptop, and see no Fitbit update.

I am at a total loss. Nothing is syncing. To not be able to access my app is beyond annoying.

I just tried the reset for my Charge HR, tried to "forget this device" on my Fitbit app. Nothing changes. I open the app, I see everything for 5 seconds, then it freezes and doesn't respond to anything, then crashes. Every. Single. Time.

I really wanted to buy a brand new, pricey Fitbit, but hells no if I can't even access it any longer!! What a major disappointment.

@CorrineMB, I can't think of any other way to suggest trouble shooting, you have done all the steps I would have done. If you have not contacted customer service, I would give them a try. If your chargeHR is under 12 months it may still be under warranty. When you login to your Fitbit account from your phone your charge should automatically sync. Hopefully customer support can give you some answers to why your charge will not sync. I don't plan on updating until I hear some good new between iOS 10 and Fitbits new software version. Hopefully someone else will see your post and will be able to help. It might take some time but don't loose hope. I know the moderators check and provide good trouble shooting information.

Hello all, I know how frustrating this can be. I have read some of the post about crashing. You may have already done this but if not always worth a try. Some folks say they deleted their app from their phone and reinstall it after their Fitbit started crashing. I'm still looking to see what else people are posting about crashing.

Thank you. Yes, I'd advise holding off on the iOS 10 upgrade until this is fixed. Otherwise, I'm loving the upgrade!
I will try Customer Service next. As soon as I get a fix, I will share the info!

I found the FitBit update in my App Store. So I updated. Went back to open FitBit, and got very hopeful when it said "wait while we clean things up for you" and then it promptly crashed. And crashed. And crashed.

Okay. So After I posted that last one, I tried it all again. Deleted the app, then reinstalled. Then opened the app and "set up" a "new" Charge HR. Followed the directions all the way through, and it FINALLY paired with my Bluetooth and synced all today's stats.

THANK GOODNESS. For now, I am back up and running! Wow, that was intense.

For clarification:

I have an iPhone 6S+.

I upgraded to iOS 10 a few days ago.

I tried everything, nothing worked.

I then found the FitBit app update this afternoon in the App Store, updated it.

After realized it still crashed repeatedly, I did the "forget this device" on my Bluetooth.

Then I deleted the app again.

I downloaded the app in the App Store again.

I opened the app and saw that it was still not syncing but no longer crashed.

I opened the FitBit app and went to "account."

I touched "Set Up a Device" and followed all the directions.

It took a while for the connection.

Then my phone asked me to pair my FitBit with the Bluetooth.

NOW it all works. Hallelujah!

If you don't know already, Fitbit have updated the app. Reset your Fitbit up from scratch with the update, if just updating the app isn't enough. It should work. My problem with iOS 10 is resolved. Charge HR now able to sync with iOS10. If you still are having issues, then contact Fitbit support, they are aware of iOS10 issues as I emailed them Thursday and they have been working on this. They will work with you to get a resolve if you have any issues. Good luck 👍

Oh, yes, I finally saw all that and posted an outline of what I think I did to get to where it's working again. Just wiped it all off my phone and started over after the update from FitBit. Thank you so much, though!!
