iOS 11.01 - MobileTrack not syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi - I just started using MobileTrack (I got a different wearable device, and want to keep using FitBit for calorie tracking and steps, etc.) but it doesn't seem to be working properly either with my phone, or with the iOS 11.0.1 update.

I have tried removing MobileTrack and re-adding, resetting the various permissions, but nothing seems to be working.

In "Account" it says "Not synced yet" under the MobileTrack.  When I pull down to refresh on the main screen, it says it is syncing, but the steps to not change to match what is in my Health app.

Hello @KingNothing13, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to see new faces around! Smiley Happy

Thanks for letting me know about the steps you've tried in order to try to solve this issue. At this moment I would like to ask you to follow these steps in order:

  • Remove MobileTrack from your account.
  • Go to your phone Settings > Fitbit and disable Motion & Fitness and App Background Refresh.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Go back to Settings > Fitbit and make sure the following is enabled.

  • Go back to the Fitbit app and add MobileTrack once again.
  • Tap on Account > MobileTrack > Sync Now.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome. Smiley Wink

I do not know if that worked - it is showing a number of steps now, but they do not correlate to what is in the health app, even on another sync.  Fitbit shows 3612 currently, but the health app shows 4149.  Would this be expected behavior?

Also, I get the "Sync" with the line going across showing the progress, but the caption under "MobileTrack" still says "Not Synced Yet".

Hello @KingNothing13, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

At this moment I would like to ask you to update the Fitbit app as we have just released a new version. Then monitor MobileTrack and reply to me in case it's still not working properly.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, in case there's anything else I can do for you, don't hesitate to reply. Smiley Wink

Hi, I have the same problem as above and have followed all your steps and just updated my Fitbit app and it is still saying ‘Not Yet Synced’. My step numbers suggest that it is showing steps tracked by mobile but my steps are not updated in the weekly challenge I’m in. Any suggestions?

@MarcoGFitbit  I have not updated the app yet, but I do think I see what's going on here, and why I am confused.

When going into the Health App, I am seeing that when looking at how many steps my PHONE has tracked, this matches what is being reported in the FITBIT app

At this point, what the FitBit app is NOT reporting on, are the steps that I take with just my new (non-FitBit) Tracker, as I am not carrying my phone with me at all times.

I suspect that this is what is to be expected when using the "Motion & Fitness" data.

To me, it would be more beneficial to use the TOTAL steps data that the phone has, not just the Motion & Fitness data.

I've tried everything to get MobileTrack to sync - nothing works.  All I want to do is to use my Apple Watch alternatively with my Fitbit, and to use the Fitbit app on my iPhone, which is exactly what I want.  Are there any other ideas out there?

Hello @kywest, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have shared your experience with me. Tell me, do you have a tracker set up in your account besides MobileTrack? If so, please make sure to sync MobileTrack away from your tracker. If it's still not syncing, please take a screenshot of what you're able to see and reply to me with it. This will be very helpful for me to check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.
