So it happened again. Got home for dinner on Tuesday (10/18) and after that, even though I walked that evening, the mobile track app gives me credit for ZERO steps all the way through Saturday (10/22).
Pedometer app works just fine. Tuesday= 7279, W=11687, and so on. Even Saturday was a wopping 15309. All missed by the fitbit app. And because I didn't check in time, I'll get no credit in "active track"( what the company uses to be sure I'm not sitting around on my butt) even if the app lets me enter them manually. It doesn't always take them.
What happened? Your app use to be very reliable!

Hi there @ausphoche, good to see you around. Well it seem you are running the latest version, so I recommend to force quit the app.
1. Log out from the Fitbit app and double tap the home button on your iOS device. Your open apps will show on your device's screen. (Optionally you can restart your phone instead of just closing the app)
2. Close the Fitbit app by swiping the app image in an upward motion.
3. Reopen the Fitbit app and try again.
Let's try this and keep me posted how it goes.

Well, I think I accomplished what you asked because I updated the OS. Now at iOS 10.1 (14B72c). So when it restarted, I presume the phone did what you requested...
Now the missing days still don't show up but I'm getting a bonus number of steps! 10,000 extra yesterday and about 7000 the day before.
I have been assured in the past I don't have to verify daily that the app is following the motion chip... but it seems that I do. That is very disconcerting. The extra steps are a nice bonus but I'm sure not what was expected. I question if it's the phone chip since my other app provides a realistic step count to what I believe is correct.
I would think that 0 steps for someone should be a red flag to any such program. At least set a banner alerting me to the fact the Fitbit app can't find the data for the prior day, please. This would give me enough time to correct the problem manually.

Hi there @ausphoche, with MobileTrack is your your phone's sensors tracking basic activity data including steps, distance, and calories burned and when enable the Internet connection, when you open the Fitbit app your phone's data automatically syncs with the app.
About the extra steps, I would like to know if is this accurate? Note that your app should not give you bonus for steps. Those 10,000 steps you mentioned before is merely by your daily activity, although not sure if I'm getting right this.
Regarding the last comment, about to have an alert when the steps are not syncing, I think is really cool. So why don't you post this idea on our Feature Suggestion board. At the moment, with the new generation of trackers we have implemented, Reminders to Move but this is exclusively from the Alta, Blaze, Charge 2 and Flex 2 trackers.
If you find that a similar suggestion has already been made by another member of the community, you can vote for their idea and add your comments. Our product team looks forward to reading and incorporating your suggestions into future versions of Fitbit trackers and apps.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need more help.

OK. So I'll recap the last week or so since Fitbit app went bonkers.
Date, steps from Pedometer++ app, Steps recorded by Fit bit.
Tuesday, Oct 18, 7279, FB 6666 Interesting that I checked my step count when I set down for super and it read 6666 on the Ped app. Did someone put an easter egg in the FB programming?

So at this point (yesterday and today) FB and Ped are in lock step (pun intended) again.
So as you can see, it wasn't quite 10,000 steps off on Tuesday... and yes, I believe the step count for the PED app is about right for what I was doing those days. Typically, I never see a difference between the PED count for the day and Fitbit. Sometimes off by no more than 50. So I believe this has everything to do with retrieving the data from the motion chip on the phone. (Dang engineers... think they know everything.)
