Mine was spinning for hours and it wasn’t until I Deleted the app off the phone then reinstalled it to ensure I had the latest version then went into settings>Bluetooth and got the phone to forget the device then went into the app to add a device along with the pairing code off the device that it came good - are you sure you have tried that?

My app updated last night & when I try to open it, it says “This app is no longer shared with you.  To use it, you must buy it in the App Store.”  When I view it in the App Store, the only option is it “open”.  When I do, I get the same message.  Please help!

I uninstalled my app & disconnected my Versa 2 & Charge 2 by forget this device in Bluetooth.  Then reinstalled the app & reconnected my devices.  That worked for me.

Did you lose your data?

My Fitbit App updated to the most recent version today and now it won’t open. An error pops up saying “This app is no longer shared with you. To use it, you must purchase it from the App Store”. I go into the App Store and it does not give the option to buy the app only to open it, if I try to open it from the App Store the app closes and the error message pops back up. I have closed out of the app, turned my Bluetooth off and on and restarted my phone. None of these things worked.

I had the same issue.  Deleted the app and reinstalled.  That fixed the issue and I didn't lose my data either.

Have a Fitbit charge 2 Bluetooth linked to iPad Fitbit app. Last update to app appears to have caused an error in that selecting the app generates “This app is no longer shared with you message” points me to App Store to buy?   App Store just shows Open option which looks to be normal.  Clicking open takes me back to error message on iPad (iOS).

So unable to enter any data / save data / use the app.

If unable to enter data then forced to go to web page to correct / enter data.

Not good, clearly an app error. When will this be fixed.

Contacted Fitbit Chat support, they suggested delete app and reinstall.  That does work, but it is not an acceptable way of fixing a Fitbit problem!

I got this message this morning on my iphone while trying to access the fitbit app. It goes on to say "to use it , you must buy it from the app store". But the app store just repeats this message when i try to download/open it. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Not an iOS update issue. On iPad I’m using 12.4.6 it was after Fitbit update that the app stopped working.

Deleting App and reinstalling solved but gave me the new marketing message to try Fitbit Premium which you have to close before using app to get back to where you were.

However I also notice the update also effects custom food entries with no provision for entering decimal point on the numeric keypad presented when trying to put in details.

so can’t enter accurate details via this update.

Hi, I have done everything advised 5/6 times and still no syncing, only had this device a week - very disappointing!

Are you sure that you told your phone to forget your Fitbit before re-adding it? I was getting frustrated trying the suggestions, then I saw that tip. It worked.
