Hi Everyone-

Update 5/27/2020: This issue has been resolvedIf you still see a “no longer shared” message please make sure your app and OS are updated to the latest versions.

I've merged a few posts together.

We're aware of an issue where some customers who update their iPhone to iOS 13.5 see this error message when they open apps, including the Fitbit app: “This app is no longer shared with you, to use it, you must buy it from the App store." To resolve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app. If this doesn’t resolve the issue for you, we hope to have more information soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution. Thanks for your patience!

Uninstalled Fitbit app and reinstalled.  iPhone 7Plus and Fitbit app says no device found.  I closed both app and phone. Still not syncing.

Kate -

This is not an IOS issue. I still have IOS 13.4.1 and I am receiving the same message. Please don’t try to pass this off on an operating system error. This is related to an automatic update if the Fitbit app. My Fitbit app updated and now I am receiving the “This app is no longer shred with you...” message.

Please let us know how Fitbit plans to resolve this issue. I hope another update is going to be pushed out shortly.

If you are signed in to the Fitbit app, click on your icon in the top left,
then click "Set up a Device"

The corrective action you proposed with uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my iPhone 11 worked for me, all up and running again for now. Thanks

This needs to be fixed ASAP! It’s a terrible feeling of waisting money on something I can’t use.

interestingly, i discerned that Fitbit is not the only app this is happening to. I have a Bible app that i could not access this morning-- i got the exact same message. So it seems as much Apple's issue as Fitbit's. But uninstalling and downloading again fixed that too

I have been having Bluetooth/Fitbit problems since the 13.4.1 upgrade and still w 13.5.  I ordered a new Fitbit, thinking it was my 2 yr old Fitbit’s problem, but still have same problem w new one.  I can’t even pair the new one.  Deleting the app and replacing, works sometimes w/ old one, but I refuse to do that every time I need the Fitbit synced.  Will return the new one, for sure.

What’s the deal?  When will this be fixed?

Also why do I have to write to Fitbit support through Twitter?  What’s the problem w giving an email address?

ALL- When checking my Fitbit App which I was trying to delete & reinstall, got same message “can’t share-must buy” I clicked & instead of “OPEN” the app said “UPDATE”-I was skeptical but hopeful!! I clicked a bunch of times because it seemed nothing was happening..then a circle sat there forever doing nothing. So I left. Later (15 min?)the Fitbit icon went black & said installing. It sync’d fine with Charge 2.

Hallelujah! Have patience friends! Fitbit never emailed me things were fixed-I found it by accident

Just found by accident that the “UPDATE” App has arrived!! Why didn’t they tell us this would be coming & this was how they would fix it?? I’ve been agonizing over how to delete & reinstall these many days(since Fri)& never able to do it. Seems it wasn’t necessary now..

Hello,

my app seems to be working just fine. Altough my heartrate monitor isnt working. My IOS is 13.5. Does this has anything to do with it? Or is it maybe that my watch itself is broken? The LEDlights from te heartrake monitor arent working either..

  • No. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, then told Bluetooth to forget the device, then re-paired my Charge 2 and all prior history data is still available in the app including hear rate since start of year and exercise events logged for the past several years.

Two days later and my Fitbit still not syncing. I deleted the app from my
iphone and iPad and downloaded the new fix. My Fitbit is “found” but it
just sits there spinning and is still not able to to upload or truly
connect. Someone on blog said it took hers 15 minutes, I have waited over
35 minutes and still nothing.

Very frustrating!

I have reinstalled the app and told my phone to forget the Charge 4 then re-paired a few times in the last two days. It will work for a while, then it will stop pairing and syncing again.
