Fitbit has started rolling out version 3.81 of the iOS app. Fitbit calls out updates over time. I have done a quick review for accessibility for those who are blind and reading disabled using the apple voiceover screen reading software. The edit button has not yet been restored, and it was removed More than 18 months ago. The heart rate and cardio zone information on the home screen has not been restored since it was removed and number of updates ago. The information provided in sleep continues to be an issue. Hourly information is unavailable to those who are blind and reading, disabled, using the apple voiceover screen, reading software . There are other issues related to accessibility they continue to need addressing. From the home screen, I clicked on community and checked average steps and the first time I checked my average steps I received what appears to be the correct number the second time I checked, the number was over 180,000 steps in a day. Tomorrow I will check to see if they have done anything to make the step screen count four consecutive days of meeting goal retroactive to when it originally started. My step streak is somewhere around 924 days of consecutively meeting goal and my actual step streak as reported this morning was over 200 consecutive days. I could not remember exactly so that is an approximation for both numbers. I keep hoping that at some point Fitbit/Google will make the application home screen and back screens compatible with the voiceover screen reading software. I also hope that they will address formatting issues that make data interpretation More difficult. Headings that are days are reported as abbreviations in some cases and fully spelled out in others. Time may be reported as meters or his hours in minutes. Please consider those of us who are blind, and those who are reading disabled, and those who have other disabilities When updating the iOS version of the Fitbit application. It is frustrating to have data systematically removed from access for those who are blind and reading disabled.

The step Street total has not been restored to original start date. Today my step Street total was 225. The actual steps Greek is 935 consecutive days of meeting my minimum goal. Also, I have had the following tiles disappear randomly from the iOS application, home, screen, steps, floors, calories and zone minutes. Distance has remained visible at all times. Also the four tiles listed above reverse order for no apparent reason, and then return to correct order. The screen continues to refresh very slowly, and the pull to refresh command does not work when using voiceover as at the screen, reading software. I continue to take screen shots, periodically and find that information is available to cited users that is not available to people who are blind and reading disabled. Recently I was looking at exercise time and flipped to page for distance, and no information was available after taking a screenshot I found that the information was there And the data itself was confusing to interpret. I keep waiting for Fitbit/Google to update the software and make it accessible to those who are blind and reading disabled. Today I called Fitbit Customer Service with a question and again requested to speak to someone from Disability Support and was told that they do not have Disability Support people available for those who have physical or visual disabilities. I also have noted that when I was looking at my notifications in the Fitbit forum for information more than a year old that almost all of the notification information had been removed. I asked Fitbit Customer Service what they knew about this and they said someone would email me within the next 24 hours , after they had investigated my report regarding deleted notifications. I also asked what made the Fitbit products sold in the European Union so much better than those sold in the United States, because the European Union gets a two-year warranty and people in the United States only receive a one year warranty. The answer was that they are legally required to do this in the European Union And they have chosen not to do it for users in non-European Union countries, and less mandated by law. As someone who is charged for strap connection broke just after 18 months I now feel cheated.
