[iPhone App] Custom Food - Doesn't Work Well with Chinese IME

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

In the iPhone app, whenever I try to add some custom foods in Chinese using Chinese IME (Zhuyin in my case), the last word would always "glitch out" upon saving the data, and I always have to log into the web app to correct it.

Here's what the "glitched last word" issue looks like:

How to reproduce:

1. Open the iPhone app and go to the section where one can enter custom food data.

2. Enter "鮮乳" and "光泉" into the food name / brand fields respectively using the Zhuyin keyboard ("ㄒㄧㄢ<space>ㄖㄨˇ" and "ㄍㄨㄤ<space>ㄑㄩㄢˊ").

3. Upon clicking "Save", the strings would be automatically replaced by the app to become "鮮ㄖㄨ" and "光ㄑㄩㄢ".

Thanks for joining us @SunsetRunner! Yikes, you took me by surprise here. Cat Embarassed I'd love to provide you some assistance, however my language skills are limited to English at this point, lol. Therefore, I'd suggest posting this specific issue in the Chinese Community. In there, I'm sure you'll be able to find relevant info in Chinese and even a solution for this glitch with the words in Chinese glitching out when adding custom food using your iOS app. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions! Cat Happy
