A friend sent me a request, when I clicked confirm a pop up said "Invitation from sender not found"
I tried some suggestions I saw in the android version of this problem despite being on ios (logging out, restarting my phone, logging back in) I also tried going to my online dashboard to accept.
I got "We were not able to locate the invitation you were responding to. Please try again with a correct invitation response URL." as a response.
My phone is an iphone 8+ my fitbit is a charge 2.
I'm not logged in on any devices other than that one and currently on my laptop.
I even tried adding HER and she gets the same pop up. She is also on an iphone 8+

Okay, I decided to go with my gut on this one. I blocked my friend then unblocked her. As soon as I unblocked her, it prompted me to her another friend request- and it worked!
So if other people have this issue, you have yet another solution to offer them. I apologize for my attitude with my frustration. Thank you.

I'm having the same issue too when trying to add my hubby to both my friends list and my son's!
UPDATE:
Okay, SO:
Chatted in with fitbit who was absolutely no help, but I was able to mess around with this long enough to resolve it.
What worked for me, was to log on to my dashboard on the computer, "ignore" the friend request. Then I logged out of my profile and in to my husband's (who I was trying to add). Sent the friend request again (also from the computer dashboard), then logged out of his account and back in to mine on the computer and I was able to accept the request.
Hopefully this helps you!

Hello @LynnStarr and @ndmacdonald, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
@ndmacdonald, I appreciate you have taken the time to update your post and let us know the troubleshooting steps you followed in order to resolve this issue on your side, I'm very glad you were able to accept the friend request sent by your husband.
@LynnStarr, thanks for your participation in the Forums and for bringing this to our attention. At this moment, I would like to ask you to follow the instructions sent by @ndmacdonald and ignore the first friend request. Then try to perform the process of adding a friend through the online Dashboard.
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

No I didn’t mean to accept it as a solution. I saw the check mark next to that and tried to uncheck it. This site is NOT even close to helpful. It’s confusing and frustrating.
I tried to ignore my friends request and got this message again.
“We were not able to locate the invitation you were responding to. Please try again with a correct invitation response URL”
Why won’t this app or website just work?

Okay, I think this happened to me too.

I appreciate your message. I’m just not sure how I’m supposed to log into my friends account. We’re not even in the same state 😞

Hello @LynnStarr and @ndmacdonald, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply.
I appreciate you have come back with more details about this situation. It seems the problem is not on your side but your friend's. If they have sent a friend request and you can't accept it or ignore it, it's possible the invitation was deleted on their side before you got the chance to reply to it. At this moment I would like to suggest you to try the following:
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

That’s what I’m saying. I did try to send her a request. She got the same thing.
This one is a screenshot I took
This is a screen shot SHE took when I tried sending her the request
I certainly didn’t delete my request to her but here we are.
This is before I tried dealing with it in the website, or talking to you guys for help. And if she deleted the request- why would the message STILL be in my message box?

It would be great if fitbit could fix the app so that we can make and receive friend request from the app. Why do I pay for premium if I have to jump through hoops for something as simple as making a friend request?
