Did you mean:

"Unable to load your goals"

ANSWERED

The app says it is "Something went wrong. Unable to load your goals" since yesterday.

This on top of the months-long issue of it not showing old previous days totals for months now. (I'm on a 1650 day step streak, and this looks likely to lose it because you continue to fail to fix the app).

iOS app for iPad, version 4.41.

Worked for me too after trying everything else

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.

Thanks for the additional information, and your efforts while working on this matter. If you haven't done so, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app as this has worked for other members. I'd also suggest rebooting your phone before syncing your Fitbit device to ensure the Fitbit app will work correctly.

On the other hand, if these steps don't work for you, reply back with the model and software (OS) version of your phone. This will help me to investigate further on my end.

@magidin@Riverbill@BjornT and @Cazza12 Thanks for keeping me posted. I'm glad this worked for you and I hope you can keep crushing your goals.

iPhone 11 Pro; iOS 18.4.1 - Offloading and Reinstalling the App did NOT fix the problem with the "grey box" and NOT showing the weekly/monthly/yearly totals and averages for steps, miles, etc........I also rebooted the Fitbit as well as my phone.

Will data be lost if app is deleted?

To be clear, only the most recent issue was solved ("Unable to load your goals") There is still the issue of the app not displaying totals after August 27, 2024 (over 8 MONTHS ago). The data is stored somewhere since the step streak continues, and since the weekly summary still shows the step totals, but the app does not display them at all, and the daily total disappears shortly after it is uploaded. I reported the issue multiple times, both here:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Missing-data-for-past-week/m-p/5657716/highlight/true#M17774...

and multiple times in the following thread:
https://tinyurl.com/52tfy7b5

(it won't let me post the usual link because the subject line contains 30 dash 2024, which apparently "is not permitted in this community"?)

This issue has continued for OVER EIGHT MONTHS and not only has it not been fixed, it hasn't even been acknowledged, as looking through those threads will show.

Thank you for responding! I’m also frustrated with the app. But if I delete
the app from my iPhone, will I lose all the data? Or once I reinstall it
will it be ok?

Sorry; that response was supposed to go to LizzyFitbit. No, you should not lose historical data: that one is in Fitbit's servers. At most, you would lose only data that has not been synced. So sync your data, then delete/re-install, and log in. Doing that kept my step streak, and the weekly summary did not show any issues.  Mind you: I have already migrated to Google; if you have not, I have no idea if that would matter or not.

I did not lose my data. Deleting and reinstalling the app fixed the problem

Hi everyone, it's good to see you around.

Thanks for trying the steps suggested in my previous post. Just to clarify, this thread is related to the goals not loading on the Fitbit app. If you're experiencing something different with the Fitbit app, I'd suggest starting a new thread as this will help us to stay on-topic, and prevent any confusion.

For the ones who haven't tried it yet, please uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app on your phone as this has helped other members. Make sure to sync afterward so all your data is updated in your account.

That shouldn’t be necessary. All these problems are unacceptable.

Fully agree. All our historic data is or should be on servers, including goals. All the app has to do is to display it. It is unacceptable to have this problem in the first place, and especially unacceptable to having to fix it through uninstall and reinstall. This should be fixed by an app update instead.

No. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app did not cause data loss for me. I tried this and it restored my goals on Charge 6. Hopefully this helps you. 😊

I never said it causes data loss. Actually I implied it does not lose the fitness data because this data is stored on servers. (Well it does lose some data, because I believe I have to setup my device with the app again, ie all data the app knows about my device (including pairing) is lost).

My point is: this causes a lot of work for the user (me) that should be solved by app developers instead. I don’t want to go through a full reinstall with new pairing of my device only because the app cannot display data that they have available on a server.

Hi I have had this same problem- it only appears with weight logging. As I have reached my target weight it won’t let me set a new target , eg maintenance. Because there is no target, I cannot log my weight, which I like to do most days.

i have tried deleting and reinstalling the iOS app and get the same problem.

I have deleted and reinstalled and it still won’t let me update my weight goal. Other goals are fine.

I’m on iPhone 15 and iOS 18.4.1
