I am so disappointed to find out that my daughter’s new Ace 2 cannot by synced with her Kindle Fire. She is 9, and I doubt very highly that she is the only 9 year old without a phone. Thus, it is ridiculous to not have an option for them to sync this kid-friendly device to another kid-friendly device. I have tried syncing hers with my account on my iPhone and it has led to one very frustrated kid after her info gets over-ridden by mine every time it is synced. I have now read numerous posts about this same issue from the last year, yet I am disappointed to learn nothing has been done to rectify this problem.
The Kindle OS being a highly modified Android version is not compatible with the Fitbit App
Best AnswerThis is not true. You can install the Google Play store from repositories and install the Fitbit App direct from there on a kindle Fire. That then works. The ONLY reason it won't work for people not happy to jump through these steps is that Fitbit apparently cannot be bothered to update the version in the Amazon store.
Best Answer@Fluffypanda3 Have you been able to sync any of the newer devices using this method? I am an iOS user, don't own a Kindle Fire, but have recommended this method before. I haven't offered this advice since the time of the Charge 2.

Best AnswerI've installed the Fitbit app using the Google Play store on a Kindle Fire 2 weeks ago, and it synced with the Ace 2. It only works on the adult profile though - if you try and access the app on the child's profile it says it doesn't have the required permissions...
Best AnswerThe Kindle Google play store on kindle is not the official Android Google play store.
What version of the app did you get @Fluffypanda3 the official app is at 3.12.1
