My sons Ace 2 is showing a error of 001 following his watch going dead. I researched errors on other Fitbits and have attempted the below without success.
1. Normal restart did not work
2. Performed a long restart, which was also unsuccessful.
3. Since both attempts of restarting did not work and the app was had not changed from showing Trying to Connect, I removed the Ace 2 and reperfromed the long restart and attempted to repair. This did not work. My phone app was unable to locate the Ace 2 and questioned if the power was on. The watch still shows the 001 when plugged in and a black screen when not.
I am open to suggestions how to repair. I have tried everything I came across in the Fitbit forums while researching but no luck with anything. I really don't want to just toss it in the trash as my son only used a handful of times and now that he's in basketball wants to be able to.
