Reading through responses here and also recent reviews on Amazon. It is absolutely unbelievable that Google/Fitbit is selling a product with such severe problems. Especially one for children This was my 7 year old son's gift from Santa and we need to take it back and exchange in for a Garmin and come up with a lie as to why Santa would give him a present that doesn't work.
Reminds me of Elf where the Dad tries to sell a book with pages missing...someone for sure knew there were problems here and didn't fix them. Imagine being responsible for the oversight of this mess.
Google is a huge company...Fitbit a tiny part of the operation...and this product a rounding error on the balance sheet. But I hope somewhere someone with a conscience is losing sleep over this.

It’s unbelievable how hard it is too set up! I’ve had issues since Christmas Day.. finally set it up logged me out and now I can’t log back in useless

We hit the same wall. This Christmas we got 3 of this bricks. There's no way to set these up that works, and nothing we can do with these useless devices. I feel taken advantage of. Fitbit has really burned us, but they laugh all the way to the bank by just ignoring user complaints.

Ok I solved my own problem (after being told by their customer care rep on the phone I couldn’t do the set with an iPhone and the only solution was to get my 8 year old his own phone/device!!).
I was using an email account which I had set up for him before getting the Fitbit. It was not a child’s account. Even though his address was part of my Google Family it wasn’t specifically a child’s Google account therefore wouldn’t register with a child’s Fitbit.
I had to create him another email address for use with the Fitbit only.
it is beyond ridiculous as a set up. The requirements were not clearly explained in my opinion and the customer service are not supplied with current up to date information or the correct steps a consumer should follow. If I heard him say (albeit very politely) “I’ll just wait for you to find the Log In option on that screen” one more time I thought I’d scream!!! It wasn’t at all where he said it was but again another step I managed to get through on my own 😂

Ya i have been trying for almost 3 hours to set ny sons ace 3 up and mo matter what fitbit tells me to do it wont work

Thank God I am not alone! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever dealt with in my life! I would rather have another baby, natural, with no drugs, than continue trying to set this thing up. Guess I'm just gonna return it. Maybe I'll find him a different one to use. My son was so excited to join the rest of his family on fitbit but I guess not.
