Ace not responding and will not reset

I cannot reset my daughter's Ace2. The screen will not respond to swipes or taps. When you hold the button for 5 seconds it also does.not reset.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that the screen on your daughter's Ace 2 won't respond to swipes or taps. Thank you for your efforts to resolve this. I recommend trying the following:

 

1. Switch to a different clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? 

2. Please confirm the complete steps to restart the tracker: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

My daughter's fitbit is brand new.  Opened yesterday.  Fully charged but it is over-counting steps.  Tried to reset but it will not reset.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I reached out to customers service and
they were less than helpful. They gave me the IT customary equivalent of
"did you turn it off and turn it back on" I've decided I will just get her
something else. I also have issues with my Ionic and am just going to get a
Samsung smart watch.
