Hi, I've recently found my Fitbit Ace and wanted to keep using it again but forgot how to change the date and time, everything I've tried led to using the Fitbit app but I don't use it so I am getting stuck on what to do.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Nathalie_.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your Fitbit Ace is showing wrong date and time. I am glad to assist you with that. The tracker should show the correct date and time after syncing. If the Fitbit Ace is not paired to any account, please follow the steps to set up the tracker at How do I set up Ace or Ace 2 for my child?

If the tracker is paired, you can find the steps to sync it at How does my child sync Ace or Ace 2 with their device?

If the tracker is still showing the wrong time and date after syncing, please try the additional troubleshooting steps here

Keep me posted on the outcome. I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Hello, thank you for responding! I have tried to connect it to your app
through Bluetooth but that does not work, I was pretty sure there was a way
to not use the app but I cannot figure it out. The problem may be that I'm
not choosing the correct Fitbit but I have tried the ones that look similar
(Ace or Alta) but either way they still have not connected.

Hi @Nathalie_, thank you for your reply.

I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. Since you're not sure about the device you have, you can check the pictures of Fitbit devices at https://help.fitbit.com/. In case you have the Fitbit Alta, you can try these troubleshooting instructions to set up the tracker: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If you have a Fitbit Ace tracker, you will need to create Family account in order to set up this tracker. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Restart the tracker: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. For instructions, see this help article.
  3. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  4. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  5. Open the app and try to set up the tracker again: How do I set up Ace or Ace 2 for my child?

Let me know how it goes.

After trying your suggestions it still has not worked, I think the problem
I have is I do not have the charging cable as well as the two gold pins on
the bottom of my Fitbit, which I don't know where it is if I do happen to
have it.
