Fitbit ace won't connect

I have following problem. My child's Ace was connected to my account on my Android phone and it stored syncing. Now I removed the device and started to pair it again. The trouble is: the phone can find the Ace on Bluetooth but can not connect to it.
I already tried restarting the Ace (by pushing three times on the button of the charge cable, I ytried turning Bluetooth off and on on the phone, but it doesn' t change a thing:
my phone still can not connect to the Ace, so I can't add it to my account, can't sync, add alarms etc. I don't have any other blue tooth devices nearby too.

Fitbit app on the phone detects the ace, displays the Bluetooth pairing code and after that fails to connect after I enter the code.

That is strange, @Rdoddapaneni and something I haven't seen before.  Have you tried fully charging the Ace?

How about clearing the Fitbit app cache on your phone?
