I am away from my daughter for approx 4 weeks. Her Ace is synced to my phone. Will the Ace keep the 4 weeks worth of data until I sync it again?

The answer is, I'm afraid, yes and no.

The fitbit has limited storage but does switch to a storage saving mode. Fitbit say:

  • Most trackers store up to 7 days of detailed minute-by-minute data. If you have a Fitbit Alta™, your minute-to-minute data is stored for up to 5 days. If you wait longer than 7 days (5 days for Alta) before syncing, you may only see the most recent week's detailed data.
  • Summary data (calories, distance, steps, and floors) will be stored for 30 days. If your tracker measures heart rate, summary heart rate data will be stored as well.

As the Ace is based on the Alta, I assume it has a 5 day storage too. So, after 4 weeks some of the data will be summarised with the details lost, but the total steps etc should be ok.
