When I originally set up my childs Ace, it asked for an email account. I accidentally entered the wrong one and now don't know how to go back and correct it. I created a new account hoping that it would ask for it again, but it didn't. Any suggestions on how to go in and change it?
Thank you!

I can only hazard a guess at this point, but I know for the adult accounts you can easily change the email address via the "Settings" option once you're logged in. Maybe you should try logging into the Ace account and see if there's a setting to do that.

Hi, @Cat_Jaimes, I think there is some confusion. Setting up an individual Fitbit tracker does not ask for an email address, although you do need one for the account, so that's why when you set it up again it did not ask for an address. A child does not need an email address because the child account is set up under the adult account and is associated with the adult's email address.
If you are not sure what email address you used to set up your account, you can check what email address is associated with your account, While you are logged in to the Community click on the link to "Dashboard" at the top of each page. Form the dashboard page you will see a small gear icon, top right. Choose settings, and at the top is fhe email address for the account. If it is wrong, you can change it there.
I hope this helps!

@Julia_G, the email address connected to my account is correct. When I originally set up my childs Ace, it asked for an email address (for him - not mine) as well. I put in the wrong email for his tracker, so now family cannot send him a friend request. It's going to another person! Does this make sense?

Hi, @Cat_Jaimes, something still doesn't quite make sense.
You are automatically friends with a child set up in a Family Account, so if you have set up a Family Account you do not need to send an email friend invitation.
Did you set up a Family Account? Can you see your child's name under your Family Account? Or did you set up his own account for him? In that case it would require an email address and the child would need to be 13 or over.

Awesome help @DramaQueenDiva, and @Julia_G! Welcome to the Forums @Cat_Jaimes! I appreciate that you have shared your experience with Ace and, for all the time and effort your have invested to solve this.
As kindly mentioned above, before setting up your child's Ace, you need to create a Family Account. The process can be followed in the help article How do I manage my Fitbit family account?
After this you need to setup your child's Ace. To do so, you can follow the help article How do I set up Fitbit Ace?
I hope this helps, keep me posted with the outcome! 😉

@Cat_Jaimes it sounds like you created a normal account for your child .this is fine as long as the child is over 13.
For a younger child, a family account is needed and this will be connected to the parents email.
The process to create a family account.
Now add the Fitbit ace and you will be requested to create a sub account in the family account for the child.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? My daughter recently got her fitbit ace and I did the same as you - set myself up (even tho I don't have a fitbit) and then set her up with her email account. Now a friend has sent her a friend request and we can't get into her account to accept it because it says email or password is incorrect. when I try to reset password, no email comes to her email account so I wonder if I entered it wrong but I cannot see it anywhere to change it. Curious if you found a solution to your issue as mine is pretty much the same. Thanks.

Hello @Communitymom is your daughters Ace connected to your family account,
If it is connected to the family account you would want to log into the same account that your now posting from.
Or is she old enough for the Ace too be connected to her own account

@Communitymom Welcome to the Fitbit Community.
I would recommend going to the Fitbit app and tapping the account icon located at the top right corner. Then, check if it allows you to Create Family Account or to access My Family:
-----
If it allows you to Create a Family Account this means that your daughter's account was not created through a Family account. In this case, if the email address entered was wrong, you can create a new account for her with the correct email address. Please be aware that she needs to be over 13 to have her own account. Otherwise, you can create a family account by following these steps.

Hello Community Mom, we are having the same issue so I was curious to see if you had any luck resolving this issue. I even went into my parent account thinking that I could change her information there and unfortunately I was not able too.

A family account would be under your email address, not her email address.
Log into your account
Tap the family found under your account settings.
Tap your daughter's name.
If your daughter was able to log straight into her account, her account would have to be an adult account, not under a family account.

When you setup a child's account under the family account, you are not given a chance to enter a password.
Everything is under the parents email address and the parents password.
I see you have had a Fitbit account since 2016.
