I find it frustrating that kids cant have friends other than their parents. It would be good if parents could authorise their kids friends using a password for instance, then they could create their own challenges etc rather than parents having to do it and invite their friends to invite their kids into it, it all seems very long winded. I appreciate the need for security but if parents authorised friends then it shouldn't be an issue.

I would add this to the features forum. When done vome back and post URL to it so others can find and vote for it easily

Hi @sarah-71, it's good to see you around in the forums for the first time, welcome.
As you already mentioned, and as described here, for the moment your child can’t connect with other Fitbit members outside of challenges. It could be an interesting implementation, to have some kind of parent control feature, like the on mentioned in the idea you shared.
If you haven't done so already (and to other users checking this thread), I do encourage you to vote for this idea you mentioned (Allow ace users to add friends with parent's control) and add your comments as well; the Feature Suggestion sections is regularly checked by the team of developers for possible implementations in the future.
Thanks for sharing this information!
