Steps accuracy

Just synced and started up two Ace fitbits for kids and one of them is tracking heaps of steps for one child. It is clocking over even when he is sitting still. I have tried changing the Handedness to the opposite but nothing seems to change. And I googled to work out how to restart it but that hasn't worked either (not sure if I even did that properly)….  The other Ace is working fine.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the information that was shared in your post, your effort and patience troubleshooting this situation prior to posting are appreciated too. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time this accuracy concern was experienced? This is only affecting steps or other stats as well? In the meantime I receive your answers, please check our help article: Why does my Fitbit device count extra steps? for a better understanding of how steps are recorded.
