Alta HR not syncing

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help.  I am trying to look into an issue that my sister is having with her Fitbit Alta HR.

She has been unable to synchronise it with her phone or via the Fitbit Dashboard using a computer.

I am looking at whether there is a way that it can be reset/power cycled to try and clear synchronisation problems.

The issue is that all suggestions to power cycle involve using the charging cable - this version of Alta HR does not have a charging cable, the wristband is removed and the Alta plugs directly into the charger/usb port to charge.

Does anyone know how to reset one of these as it is currently not syncing with any devices (either hers or mine - computers or mobile devices).

Many thanks in advance for any help

Looks like it's not a Fitbit. The moderator said it appears to be something from Letscom. They have a website here - click.

Hi @philbass1978  I have an Alta HR and the pictures you shared aren't the same as my device. Had she set this up before? It would show on the app which device she has. Let us know.

Hi @Odyssey13 , thanks for your reply.

It is quite old...about 3yrs I think.

She did have it synced with her phone and all setup, went to use it the next day and it wouldn't sync and hasn't synced with any devices since.  I just wondered if there was a way to restart these devices as I know the ones that come with a cable can be "restarted" to sort out sync issues.

@philbass1978  I've asked a moderator to stop by to look at this. I've not known a Fitbit that doesn't use a usb cable to charge it. Mystery Monday! Don't worry, this forum has the best people to help sort this out.

Thanks for all your help.

I do agree it looks like a Letcom device. Strange thing is it came in a fitbit Alta box.

I will let my sister know.

Many thanks for your help
