Alta HR stopped working

My Alta HR stopped working this afternoon, nothing on the screen and no green lights on the back. Plugged it to the charger, no vibration or battery symbol and tried a reset but nothing. Left it on charge for 30 mins then tried a reset again but nothing. Took it off charge and it was hot to touch. Anyone have any ideas or is it shot?

Hello @Brows79 if your Alta HR is getting hot, it probably means the battery or charging circuit has be destroyed.

If it is still under warranty you could contact.fitbit.com

BTW I moved your Alta HR post out of Fitbit app phone support

My Alta HR is less than a year old.  It also stopped working after connecting it to the charger.  In the morning, it would not turn on and was too hot to touch. I actually had to unplug the charging cord and wait for the fitbit to cool off before taking it off the charging clip. I'm now waiting for a customer service rep to contact me.
