Alta not responding and fully charged

I have an alta and have had to stop using it.   It is fully charged, the screen "responds" only when it is on the charger but only once.  Once I remove from the charge, it does not respond to taps or to wrist movement.  I have followed the instructions to restart the alta but that is not successful.

Any other way to get the Alta to start responding?

Have you tried to reinstall the app?

The app on my mobile device is working.  I have a fitbit sense also.   Works with no problem. Is there something I can do differently to restart the fitbit?Auntie JSent via the Samsung Galaxy Note9, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone

@Auntie-J I'm not sure when you bought your Alta, but Fitbit only made them between 2016 and 2019. That means that yours has to be at least four years old. Rechargeable batteries have a finite life span. Unfortunately, it sounds as though the battery in your Alta may be at the end of its life. If that's the case, there isn't any way for you to revive it.

Thank you for your feedback.  There is nothing wrong with the battery. I am able to charge it and it holds a charge.  The problem is the fitbit doesn't wake when I touch the screen or turn my wrist.  Thanks Sent via the Samsung Galaxy Note9, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone
