Alta won't track my steps

The Alta Fitbit device itself will charge as it should but the app on my phone is stuck at 52%. I read how to restart device and it states to push a button on the cord attached to the Fitbit. I do not have any buttons on the cord. Could they mean on the side of the Fitbit? I just want to reset my Fitbit. Can anyone help. It is not recording any steps only recording calories.

Hi @Carolzcoots  sounds as though your Alta unpaired itself from the app. When you just see burned calories and no steps, it's not connected. You need to set it up again - click for directions. As for the button on the charger unit, it's needed to do a restart of the Fitbit. The button is actually on the little flat part that is put into the usb port - it's something you'd feel with your thumb. Anyway, here are the directions to restart - click to read. Let us know how things go for you.
