Corrupted display

Take over a couple of days, these photos hopefully show what the display is like on my Fitbit Alta HR. At the start of the week, it was only one line of text missing in a place where it was only visible on the time, but now there are significantly more missing, which means they are affecting all the stats shown on the watch.

I haven’t done anything recently to the watch and the screen hasn’t been affected by anything that I can think of, so I was wondering if this was a software fault or a bigger issue. 68115586-C85C-4502-B5C1-A51E297930DE.jpeg

Hi @BryonyThorogood, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums! I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the photos and details of the issue with your Alta HR display. I understand your concern as you haven't changed or done anything to your tracker. I would like you to restart your tracker as described in this help article. This will refresh your device internally.

I also recommend changing the clock face by following the steps from this help article: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes!

Hi,

I’m afraid this still hasn’t worked, it still continues to have lines of data missing from the screen.

Hello. This seem to be a recurring issue with Fitbit devices. I just learned that at the start of the covid outbreak in the states my warranty expired. I was offeree a coupon to used on the website only to buy another tracker but low and behold the Alta Hr is not available and nothing else is offered that is comparable to it. Like most users, Ive done everything to troubleshoot. Are there any other solutions offered? These trackers are not cheap and to keep replacibg them every 16 months is ridiculous. If the company knows these devices are prone to display issues without apparent reasons, why not extend the warranty; especially during extenuating circumstances like covid? And better yet have replacement devices on hand to relieve your customers of defective product. You expect our loyalty with continued purchases and  subscriptions but you don't have the same expectations of continued service and quality of your products.

I have been a long time supporter of Fitbit but now my support is waning.
