Fitbit Alta HR screen flashing through settings

Hi I am wondering if anyone one else has had their Fitbit Alta HR start to flick through settings by itself. My Alta HR randomly turned itself off last week with a full charge and since that has been going flat each day. On charging it today i had to use the charge button at the base of the charge cable to turn it on. Once it turned on I moved it to check the time and it started flicking through its screens by itself and the back heart rate led won't turn off. I have tried to restart it around ten times but it just keeps doing the same thing. I can't change any settings on my phone as it has stopped recognising the device.

I am having the same problem. My Alta HR just died in less than have a day because it is doing the same thing. I got disconnected from online support and it isn't working properly now so hoping for some help here. I also tried rebooting over 10 times

Mine started doing the same today! Worried this is the end of my Fitbit but don’t want to fork out for another one if it has broken and is not my fault! Please can you assist?

I am having the same problem. My fit bit shut off. It had a full battery. Had stopped tracking me . I have tried to rest it about 5 times and it’s still scrolling through the settings. What can I do?

Mine just started doing the same thing. Nothing I have tried has worked. I tried resetting it with the charger. Letting it die all the way, deleting the fitbit app and reinstalling it. Is my fitbit a total goner?

I let mine sit for 2 days and tried resetting it again and somehow it is
working again.

I have also had the same thing happen today. despite a restart and full charge it is still cycling through the settings and not regfistering any steps. Can you advise if there is a fix for this? I dont really want to have to buy a new one as this one is perfect for me.

I have had the same problem with my Alta hr. I’ve followed all the reset suggestions but nothing has worked. Could you please let me know if there is a fix for this?

Hi

My Alta HR has just started flashing through all the screens too. It died a couple of weeks ago on approx 3/4 charge but came back when I plugged in to recharge. 

Just tapped to get time and it started scrolling through time, steps,...., repeatedly. 

I have tried reset several times but no luck. I have had watch for approximately 18 months so would not expect to have to replace it!

Hi,

I have since followed all the various advice from people on this forum and although the suggestion to uninstall & reinstall the app as well as letting the charge completely run down before recharging it (you really have to have patience for this one!) worked for 4 days, it then returned to the same problem. I’ve gone through this same process 3 times now but it always crashes after a few days which is no good if you’re trying to track over any length of time. Although I haven’t had my Alta hr very long it’s unfortunately time to say goodbye to it forever.

MY FITBIT ALTA HR KEEPS FLASHING ON THE SCREEN. I HAVE TRIED RESTARTING IT, charging it, letting it die and NOTHING WORKS. It currently keeps flashing through all the apps. Please help. I’m trying to keep up my fitness and this watch isn’t working.
