Friends section says I have No Recent Activity!

I'm wearing my Alta daily. When comparing steps in the Friends section, why does it say No Recent Activity adjacent to my name?

Have a look at your profile settings at https://www.fitbit.com/user/profile/edit and make sure that the "Friend Rankings" is set to "Show Me"

I am having the same issue since the last app update on the iPhone.

Come on FitBit--please fix functionality that has worked for ages!

I found the fix in this post elsewhere.

Half way down the page it tells you about changing your sharing settings under privacy and it fixed the problem.
