How do I stop the notification from Fitbit that comes hourly at :50?

That sounds like the "reminder to move" alert they notifies you at :50 if you have not done at least 250 steps that hour. You can choose which hours it works for, or turn it off completely if you prefer. Information and instructions are in this help file:
