frustrated with Alta HR

I use one and decided to get one for my mother.

She has Alzheimer's. I want to know how she slept so I figure out what kind of a day I will be dealing with. If no sleep, she will be cat napping all day long and/or be in a grouchy mood.

1. She is very petite. I had to buy a child's  band in  a size small. Even that is too large. It is on the smallest setting.  The fitbit is sitting 2 inches below her wrist bone. It is loose. It is on her non-dominant hand.

2. It does not register sleep regularly. I have rebooted countless times. For example, this past week, it only registered sleep on 2 nights. On a couple of those days, she was quite alert but on Saturday, she slept for 2 hours in the morning and kept falling asleep all afternoon and evening.

What can I do to make sure that sleep is being registered for her?

I’m so sorry for what you are going thru, @Nellita23 . You mentioned that even with a small band, the Alta HR, it is too loose. This is very likely why sleep is not registering. I looked around Amazon and found a couple Alta HR bands you may want to consider.

Another thing to consider ... Fitbit designed the Ace for kids, so the band is smaller. I know you probably hate to make another purchase, but if you can return the Alta HR, the Ace is currently on sale.
