'1' Notification on App won't clear

Got my new Versa last night, downloaded the app and did set up. Encountered 2 issues:

1. Sleep made it crash (I see that's a known problem and being fixed)

2. I can't clear a "1" on the app icon as if I have a notification (I've checked inside the app and have no notifications, messages, or any other kind of alert I can find).

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, restarting the watch, etc. Nothing has removed the notification.

Anyone else had this issue and figured out how to clear it? For reference I have a Samsung Galaxy S8

Can't help resolve your issue but I upgraded to a S9 Plus over the weekend and I immediately noticed this was an issue on my new phone as well. My old S7 Edge didn't have the issue.

Edit: I just figured it out!

Open your fitbit app, click on your tracker (where you see the Sync and General options, such as Wrist Placement, Main Goal, Exercise Shortcuts, etc)...scroll to the bottom and you should see an option "Keep-Alive Widget". I disabled that and the notification went away. Hope that helps!

I am having the same issue but I have an iphone so I can't find the widget that you are referring too to remove notification. Any ideas on how to fix this issue on my end. Thanks

Only thing that worked and it still does it every so often is reset both
the Fitbit and you device with the app. Hope his helps.
