2.63 constantly crashing

Since my devices auto-updated to 2.63 I get constant notifications of the app crashing in the background (when I don't even have it open). Presumably this is the background service trying to sync to my tracker because it hasn't uploaded any data since the app updated.

Devices affected:

- Nexus 6P

- Nexus 9

- Galaxy S4

As far as I can tell, every device. Surely FitBit has been flooded with enough crash reports to either rollback this broken update or submit a fixed one to the play store?

That is interesting, @Squidd. I thought the most current version of Fitbit Android app is 2.62.1.   I did a search of this forum, but couldn't find any other posts about v2.63.  Hopefully, your issue will be resolved soon.  In the meantime, you may want to contact Fitbit Support to see if they are aware of this problem.

I am having the same problem with my Note 8. App crashing frequently. Sometimes also when not specifically opened I get the same message: "Fitbit has stopped". Only started doing this with latest update which is listed as 2.63 (3193216) BETA on the help screen in the app. Interesting that a beta version has been pushed to the general public. I have contacted customer service but only have received an acknowledgement so far.

Last night I got an update to the Fitbit app. Now the version is 2.63 (3193219) BETA. Previously it was listed as 2.63 (3293216) BETA. So far the app has not crashed, so perhaps this was a fix for this issue. Still seems strange that the version is designated BETA as I did not sign up to be a Beta tester.
