I was having so many problems syncing my surge to my phone that I finally gave up and removed my surge from my phone and account completely, removed the Fitbit app from my phone, and re-paired my surge to my account through my windows 10 pc with the Fitbit windows 10 app. Best thing I could have ever done.
The Fitbit phone app only fully synced the first time I paired the surge with it, and since all day sync is on by default, even though I turned it off in the app, my surge was always trying to sync with an app that was never listening, so it was working overtime and eating up the battery like there was no tommorow.
I was barely getting 3 days of battery life out of it, that was with turning it off every night, no gps use, no notifications, only using quick view and auto heart rate. Once I started syncing it with my pc and getting full syncs again, I immediately started getting 10 days of battery life with room to spare 😉 Remember I'm turning it off every night, if you left it on 24/7 you'd probably get closer to the 7 days Fitbit says the surge can do under low use conditions.
The pc app has been working perfectly for me for weeks now..... my watch screen tell's me everything I need to know, and I don't use notifications, so I have no need for the mobile app at all. If you don't use notifications I would highly suggest trying the pc for syncing your tracker.

Glad you got it working so well, @Crazy-Fritter, but remember you could keep the app on the phone to view the statistics, etc., and use the Windows 10 PC to sync the tracker.

Thanks for the idea Larry 🙂 If I did that would the app automatically try and sync with my surge when I opened it up? Or would I have to go through the pairing process with the surge and phone first?
I don't want the phone app trying to sync with my surge and screwing up the Bluetooth radio again. It would be nice though to be able to make changes on my phone, and have them take effect when I sync my surge before bed on the pc 😉
