250+ step hour not counting for previous dates

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Each day my fitbit charge 2 keeps track of my 250+ hours just fine. But when I open the app and look back on previous days it now says 0 of 14 EVERY day. My online dashboard is fine, so it's just an android app issue. Is anyone else having this problem? Any idea on a solution?

Hello @KellyBritt, awesome to have you in our Fitbit Community as a new member. Note that when you go back to previous days, only the main tile that contain your steps, calories, floors and so on, will show your data from previous dates. Secondary tiles like the hourly goal tile, will only display current day data even if you navigate to previous dates. This behavior is normal as this is the way the app was developed. In your online Dashboard is different, since when you go to other dates the data will change accordingly to the day you are looking.

If you need to look in to other days, tap in the tile and you will have each date available on your mobile Dashboard. If your current day is not showing information it is possible your tracker has not uploaded your data or still is compiling and will take a moment to load the details.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have other questions.

I am having the same issue.  It shows previous days with zero hours met.  Can this be changed to properly show each time I met my 250 steps in the last week? This page on my app looks like I don't achieve the steps at all times except the current day.

I also have often been showing zero for previous, even when opening the tile.  But with patience, they do fill in.  I think it's just a matter of giving them time to download that data. Sometimes I have to click the tile, then go back to main window, then click tile again to see the results filled in.

I am experiencing the same problem.  While the present day shows up correctly, past days appear as "0 of 8 Hours" consistently and never appear to update.  Examining the individual day's data it doesn't appear that these data are anywhere.

This problem started for me in late December, the 21st to be exact.  Dates before that are accurate, but since then, it appears that past days are doomed to be zeros. It's got to be a problem with the app.  Please fixit, fitbit.

Did you try as I suggested just above, click on activity tile, go back to main screen, click again on activity tile?

Thanks, Roberto, for taking time to clarify the issue.  It does, however, sound like a defense of a bad UI and UX.

When I see a screen that has a label of "Today", it makes sense to me that the data on the whole screen references data from TODAY.

When I tap "<" and discover a screen with a label of "Yesterday", it does NOT make sense to me that SOME of the data is for YESTERDAY and some of the data is for TODAY.

As I continue to tap "<" and continue to see data change to reflect the label at the top of the screen, it would make sense to me that all the data was related to the label at the top of the screen.  There is no visual contraindicaiton of the relationship between the top of the screen and the bottom of the screen.  A reasonable person would expect a screen to contain coherent data that is somehow related.  This thread certainly confirms this, so there are at least two people in the sample set of "confused by this disparity between top and bottom of screen".

Noticing that customers are confused by the UX is an invitation to improve the UX, not defend it's initial design.  It's an invitation to improve it.

As a software professional, I often create "user stories" with developers to spark a dialog with users.  Here's my user story for your developers...

As a FitBit user,

I want to scroll through historical data

So that I can evaluate day-to-day trends

I'll know this is done when I can scroll through all the data that I capture

This *does* currently work for some historical data.

It does *NOT* currently work for other historical data.

What's worse, it's not visually or intuitively clear that there is a difference.

I'm frustrated, but I hope you hear that frustration is a desire for (and a vision for) a better future.

Thanks, @KellyBritt for bringing up this UX flaw, and thanks, @RobertoME for letting development know that users are not understanding the UI and are not able to review historical data.

This is another of fibbit's on-going irritations. You open the tile and the information doesn't load. You have to come out and open it again to get the information to display. Tedious.
