5 challenges error

I'm getting an error saying that I can't be in more than 5 challenges at once. However, I'm currently only in 1 challenge right now. I can't even create a goal day for myself.

It's a shame to hear that you're experiencing this inconvenience with your challenges, currently there's an error with being able to add more challenges for some accounts, the engineers team is aware of this issue and it's working to fix it.

I'm currently in a Workweek Challenge which I started yesterday. The challenges page on my dashboard shows that the three past challenges have ended and shows the winner. Still can't accept or create any challenges. This is frustrating.

 

I've tried relogging, force quitting the app, and reinstalling the app with no luck.

Quick update: Good news - I can join and make challenges now. Bad news - I can only be in 1 challenge at a time. Still getting the error when I try to make a second challenge.

Hi @MaginB,

 

From another reply post, I read an answer to free up the challenges by pushing the quit button under options. But the whole thing to join and participate in Challenges is to reach out and connect 'internationally" with other Fitbit users.

 

Syncing of different time zones is necessary, but a solution without having to quit abruptly to free up for other challenges would be more sportive. While the remaining participants still can see your messages  you, on the other hand, are cut out of the conversations. In real time no problem by waiting for results, while you continue or begin a new activity.

 

Is there a technical reason why there is a restriction or maximization of 5 challenges? Will there be another solution made available without having to quit to free up space or challenges here soon?

Same here... keep getting an error that I cannot be in more than 5 challenges. I'm in 4 active challenges and 2 others are over and have the sync completed, so that definitely isn't the issue! 😞

It's been a two weeks, still no fix. Hopefully as they resolve this issue the ability to join more than 5 challenges or have more than 10 participants becomes available, that would be a nice apology and reason for the delay in resetting the challenge system. IJS

I am having the same issue. I am in 4 challenges trying to join a 5th & it is saying I am already in 5. I have logged out and back it. I have deleted and redownloaded the app. No luck.

For a long time this spring I only had 2 challenges. Now I'm down to one 😞 I have contacted support several times but no fix so far. Challenges is the only reason for mee to stick to fitbit. If I can't get that, I could just use any device.

Yeah, having only 1 challenge to do at once sucks. Unfortunately I'm still at 1 challenge after 3-4 months of this error happening. It seems like fitbit really isn't prioritizing this issue in their updates. I can't even try out the new adventures because of this issue.

Update - October 4th, 2016: Finished installing the new update for the fitbit app. My challenges now work!! I can compete in multiple challenges again. Praise be Fitbit engineers.
